About Botswana Power Corporation (BPC)

Establishment of BPC: Botswana Power Corporation is a corporate body established through an act of parliament, the Botswana Power Corporation Act, with the following functions and duties:

• Generation, transmission, supply, and distribution of electricity in areas approved by the Minister,
• Acquisition of electricity, and
• Enter into agreements/contracts as necessary for the performance of its functions.
